Joe located Fidel Castro's daughter and broke the American Express versus Edmond Safra case. He solved the missing Andy Warhol painting incident and provided protection for people such as Mike Wallace and Walter Cronkite. Joe Mullen has seen his share of action in forty-five years as a Private Investigator. As President of the J.T. Mullen Company, Inc. located in New York City, Mullen began his career at the age of sixteen where he learned the trade from his Banker turned Private Eye father.

Mullen's high profile clients and position as one of America's most esteemed Private Eyes has often landed him in the press. He has been the subject of an NBC TV special entitled the "Real Private Eye", featured on a Diane Sawyer ABC News interview and was the subject of an A&E Biography. Mullen has been profiled in a variety of newspapers including the New York Times, the Miami Herald, the New York Daily News, the New York Post and Crain's Magazine. To quote New York Post Editor Steve Dunleavy, "Joe Mullen is the last Gumshoe of the Millennium, and while a battered trench coat is replaced by designer suits, he is straight out of Mickey Spillane." Mr. Mullen has served as the Security Editor for the publication, Forbes FYI, where he shared his experiences and personal insights. Joe Mullen combines a unique wit and compassionate spirit with a street savvy honed from his Bronx childhood and years on the beat. His dedication to getting the job done is uncompromising.

A true renaissance man, Mullen is an avid runner, having completed over 86 races, including the New York City Marathon and has been an amateur boxer for most of his adult life. He has written poetry for many years, and recently published several of his works.

As the father of five children and thirteen grandchildren, Mullen's interest in child welfare has extended to his work, as evidenced by some of his company's caseload. Joe has successfully resolved cases involving missing children. He is a strong advocate for various child-related charities including the Children's Aid Society.

In 1999 he received the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, awarded to 100 distinguished American Citizens annually. He lives in New York City and Key Biscayne, Florida with his wife, Suzanne Kramer Mullen.
